Liana Jojua is a Georgian mixed martial artist who competes in the Flyweight division. She has formely fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is also the former Fight Nights Global Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Her personal MMA record is 8-5-0 (W-L-D).
Liana “She Wolf” Jojua was born on March 22, 1995, in Tbilisi, Georgia. She was practicing Muay Thai, Wrestling, and Kudo from an early age. Her interest in MMA has raised at the age of 16. Outside the fighting sports, she is a teacher and graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical University. She also has a secondary musical education in vocals and piano.

Liana Jojua fought as an amateur at the SLMMA – Student League MMA 1, where registered a win versus Polina Biryukova by TKO in the first round.
MMA debut
Liana Jojua made her professional MMA debut on September 17, 2015, at the Kumite Fight – Kumite Fight 4 versus Ekaterina Golovatova. She won the fight by armbar submission.
Early MMA career
On October 3, 2015, Liana Jojua fought versus Tatyana Pevneva at Octagon Fighting Sensation 5, winning the fight by TKO in the first round.
On January 16, 2016, she lost her fight versus Zamzagul Fayzallanova at Alash Pride – Atyrau the Beautiful by a split decision.
On August 20, 2016, Liana Jojua registered another loss at WLF – E.P.I.C.: Elevation Power in Cage 7 from Na Liang via rear-naked choke submission in Round 2.
On November 6, 2016, she won her fight versus Valeria Pak at Student League MMA via armbar submission in Round 1.
On December 15, 2016, Liana Jojua won her fight versus Tao Li at Kunlun Fight MMA 7 via armbar submission in Round 1.
On July 29, 2017, she the fight versus Karina Vasilenko at Fight Nights Global 71 via armbar submission in Roun 1.
On December 29, 2017, she got another win versus Viktoriya Shalimova at Emir Fighting Championship by heel hook submission in Round 1.
On February 22, 2018, Liana Jojua marked her most prestigious victory versus sambo world champion Marina Mokhnatkina at the Fight Nights Global 83, winning the FNG Women’s Bantamweight Title.
UFC career
Liana Jojua made her UFC debut on September 7, 2017, versus Sarah Moras at UFC 242. She lost the fight by TKO in the third round.
On July 15, 2020, she won her fight versus Diana Belbita at UFC on ESPN 13 by armbar submission in Round 1.
On October 24, 2020, Liana Jojua lost her fight versus Miranda Maverick at UFC 254 via TKO in Round 1.
On November 13, 2021, Liana Jojua registered another loss at UFC Fight Night 197 from Cortney Casey via unanimous decision.
