Amanda Ribas is a Brazilian mixed martial artist (MMA), competing in the Strawweight division of the UFC. She has a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a Black belt in Judo. Amanda Ribas has a personal MMA record of 11-2-0 (W-L-D).
Amanda Ribas was born on August 26, 1993, in Varginha, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She is the daughter of Marcelo Ribas, a judo and Jiu-jitsu coach who also teaches Muay Thai. She trained under her father until she was part of one of the national judo youth teams in Brazil. After winning 2014 IMMAF World Championship in the Women’s Flyweight division, Ribas started her professional MMA career in 2014 and fought primarily in Brazil.

Amanda Ribas made her professional MMA debut on August 15, 2014, at the Pentagon Combat 19 versus Jessica Almeida and won via TKO in Round 1.
Early MMA career
She competed in two more fights at the Pentagon Combat, winning both – versus Ariane Carnelossi and Iara Sales via kneebar submission and TKO, respectively.
On April 11, 2015, Amanda Ribas won her fight versus Aline Sattelmayer at the Jungle Fight 76 via unanimous decision.
On July 4, 2015, she won recorded another win versus Tania Pereda at the Jungle Fight 79 via rear-naked choke submission in the first round.
On November 28, 2015, Amanda Ribas faced Polyana Viana at the Jungle Fight 83 and registered her first loss via KO in Round 1.
On May 21, 2016, she returned on the winning path after smashing Jennifer Gonzalez Araneda at the Max Fight 18 via TKO in Round 2.

Amanda Ribas made her professional MMA debut on June 29, 2019. She fought versus Emily Whitmire at the UFC on ESPN 3 – Ngannou vs. Dos Santos and won via rear-naked choke submission in Round 2.
On October 12, 2019, she faced Mackenzie Dern at the UFC Fight Night 161 – Jedrzejczyk vs. Waterson and won via unanimous decision.
On March 14, 2020, Amanda Ribas fought versus Randa Markos at the UFC Fight Night 170 – Lee vs. Oliveira and won via unanimous decision.
Amanda Ribas registered her fourth consecutive victory in the UFC on July 11, 2020, versus Paige VanZant at the UFC 251 – Usman vs. Masvidal. She won the fight via armbar submission in Round 1.
